What does this message (or similar) mean when trying to run
SM-Marks, "16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem path to the program that you are
trying to start or install C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt The system
file is not suitable for running MS DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications."?
This error message may be caused by a virus that has damaged one or
more important files used by Windows. For some users it has also
appeared after the installation of a Windows Service pack - although
this may just be a coincidence. The problem may appear to be limited to
only SM-Marks as other software continues to work normally, but this is
because SM-Marks uses the 16 bit subsystem of Windows which is a bit
unusual now. A search of the Internet will reveal that the error
message does affect other software.
