Will SM-Marks be updated to include the new features in SM-Marks 2?
For example, SM-Marks 2 has a new feature that allows the storing and
handling of outcomes, SM-Marks does not. Unfortunately SM-Marks is
nearing the end of its useful life because of the way it was built on
the foundation of the previous MarkBook FIVE means it is not best
suited for Windows XP and newer.
While many schools still use SM-Marks on their Windows 2000 and XP
systems without any problem, the internal structure of SM-Marks will
lead to an increase in potential problems.
For this reason the SM-Marks 2 has
been made from scratch for Windows XP, while still keeping the general
look of SM-Marks to make it easier to transfer from the old to the new.
There are important differences and improvements with SM-Marks 2, but
basic features such as the Calculation, Estimate and Print Helper are
unchanged.
