
This is the
SM-Reports Site licence update download page. Schools
licensed to use
SM-Reports can download this file and install it, to ensure they have
the most recent version of the program. You should only install this
update over an existing licensed copy of SM-Reports.
The file is
approximately 2MB and could take a few minutes to
download
over a slow Internet connection.

- Important: This
update is only for schools still using the 16 bit version of
SM-Reports, which is now called version 1. If your school has upgraded
to SM-Reports (32 bit) then the latest update can be found here.
Before installation
- This
update is only for
schools already with a Site licence.
- Making
a backup of your
current database is
recommended.
- Be
sure you know the folder
where SM-Reports is already
installed.
- This
update assumes there is
a valid register.key
file in the
destination folder.
- If
your previous copy of SM-Reports is dated before the 15th August 2005,
be sure to read these Additional
Notes which may affect your use of SM-Reports.
Installing the SM-Reports Update
To update SM-Reports on your computer, do the following steps:
- Copy
the
downloaded file into the folder with the SM-Reports program.
- Unzip
the contents of the file Smrupd010708.zip
into the same folder.
To do step 2 you can use your preferred Zip file utility, or if you
have never done this before you can use the Compressed Folders feature
built into Windows to unzip the update. Here are the steps to follow:

In the SM-Reports program folder, right click on the Smrupd010708.zip file.

Choose the Extract all command to show the Compressed
Folders Extraction wizard.

Choose the Next button.

Check that the Destination is your SM-Reports folder.

Choose the Next button

Choose the Finish button.
After
installation
- To
check that the update is
successfully installed, run
SM-Reports and choose the Help|About command to confirm that the date
shown is 1st July 2008.
- If
your previous copy of
SM-Reports is dated before the 15th August 2005, please read these notes.
- It is recommended that you upgrade to the new SM-Reports (32 bit) version listed here before the end of 2008.
