no one is using SM-Timetable.
- You can leave the TurboPower FlashFiler running with this update.
- Proceed
by installing the update as described below.
It is important
to ensure that no one is logged into SM-Timetable
before doing step 2.
Installing the SM-Timetable Update
To install the SM-Timetable update on your computer, do the following
steps:
- Copy the
downloaded file into the folder with the SM-Timetable program.
- Unzip the contents of the file Smtupd150408.zip into the same folder.
To do step 2 you can use your preferred Zip file utility, or if you
have never done this before you can use the Compressed Folders feature
built into Windows to unzip the update. Here are the steps to follow:
-
In the SM-Timetable program folder, right click on the Smtupd150408.zip file.
-
Choose the Extract all command to show the Compressed
Folders Extraction wizard.
-
Choose the Next button.
-
Check that the Destination is your SM-Timetable folder.
-
Choose the Next button
-
Choose the Finish button.
After
installation
- Before running
SM-Timetable after the update, if necessary be sure to set the
appropriate shares and permissions to the SM-Timetable folders.
- To
check that the update is successfully installed, run
SM-Timetable and choose the Help|About command to confirm that the date
shown is 15th April 2008.
- You
should also check the internal update code by pressing
Shift+F1 and confirm that the text find box shows 150408. If not, the
update has not been fully installed and you should run the install
program again.
- An
update may add a new table to the database. For this reason it
is essential after installation to run SM-Timetable as the
Administrator and then close the program to update your database. If
you have more than one database you should open each one in the
Database folder while no one else is using the program.
- Sometimes
an update may result in a significantly slower than
normal start up time the first time each database is opened after
installation.
